European challenger bank, bunq has teamed up with global charities, thus allowing users to donate to their choice of foundations. Its new offering ‘Common Goals’ follows the challenger bank’s public beta programme. The feature will enable users to create a Common Goal and share it with anyone they want. The app will enable customers to check on the amount raised and the total donations given by bunq’s customers.

Ali Niknam, founder and CEO of bunq, said, “We asked our users for their feedback on our new app, and they didn’t disappoint. They told us they want a way to give back to the causes closest to their hearts with their like-minded friends – and so Common Goals was born. At bunq we’re not just a bank – we’re here to make our user’s lives easier, and leave the world in a better place than when we started. That’s why we have partnered with 5 amazing charities with this launch.”

bunq stated that it has partnered with global charities and will enable donations to One Acre Fund, Free a Girl, Terre des Hommes, Salt Farm Foundation and LittleBitz.

IBS Intelligence recently reported that bunq announced the launch of a new bunq and has offered its users the opportunity to test, give feedback and include themselves in the decision making process.

George Ooms, Team Lead Private Market, Terre des Hommes, said, “Our goal is to stop child exploitation. A goal we can only realise with people and partners that are willing to make the change, who are committed to make the world a better place. And giving should always be easy. With its new feature Common Goals, bunq provides just that. A super easy tool that enables the public to engage with, give to and fundraise for charities. We are very happy to be part of the launch of Common Goals. Thank you bunq! Together we can stop child exploitation. Join the fight.”
