Georgian bank BasisBank has selected Backbase in a bid to boost its digital transformation and provide customised experiences to its retail and SME customers. Backbase will be offering its Engagement Banking platform to BasisBank for expanding its retail banking offering with the provision of mobile experiences to its customers.
Rati Dvaladze, Chief Operating Officer at BasisBank said, “We are confident that Backbase is the right partner to help us achieve our ambition of challenging the status quo in Georgia’s financial services industry. Customers crave a more user-friendly, intuitive, and centralized banking experience. Through Backbase, we are well-positioned to digitally innovate and provide a personalised service to our clients and, in the process, become a trusted partner in their day-to-day success.”
According to Backbase, its Engagement Banking platform allows for the development of modern, mobile-first banking experience that will enable it to tailor and personalise services for customers. Through the platform, customers will be able to seamlessly onboard within a few clicks and have access to all their banking needs in one place.
Pierre-Alexandre Boulay, Head of CEE at Backbase, added, “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with BasisBank. We’ve seen first-hand their commitment to their customers and supporting the Georgian economy as a whole, and are excited to see how they leverage our Engagement Banking platform to accelerate their digital transformation journey and create a best-in-class banking experience for their customers.”
Recently, Portugal-based Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD) announced a partnership with engagement banking technology provider Backbase. Backbase stated that the collaboration will enable CGD to create new digital banking channels across all its business lines and achieve a seamless customer experience, starting with SME customers. CGD will be rolling out a range of new initiatives, including developing a fully digital SME onboarding solution.
