Axis Bank has launched a suite of AI-powered compliance solutions for current account customers, aimed at digitising and simplifying regulatory processes such as ReKYC and business profile updates for businesses across India.

The rollout includes an AI-driven ReKYC platform and a Digital Business Profile Update Service, both designed to reduce manual processing and improve compliance efficiency. The bank said the solutions use generative AI, document intelligence and GST-linked data to automate workflows that have traditionally required significant paperwork and branch intervention.

The Digital Business Profile Update Service enables businesses to update operational details, including nature of business, through a fully digital process. By analysing real-time GST filing information, the system can automatically identify and assign occupation codes from a database of more than 3,000 classifications. The approach is intended to minimise manual entry errors and reduce turnaround times for compliance updates.

Alongside this, Axis Bank has expanded its AI-powered ReKYC solution nationwide for non-individual current account holders. The system uses document intelligence to identify, extract and validate multiple KYC documents submitted in digital form, while guiding branch staff through the verification process in real time. The platform also flags missing information or document quality issues before submission, shifting compliance checks earlier into the workflow.

The bank said the new systems cover customer categories representing nearly 90% of its ReKYC volumes. Early implementation results indicate lower rework rates, fewer follow-ups and faster processing times for operations and branch teams.

Sameer Shetty, Group Executive – Digital Business, Transformation & Strategic Programs, Axis Bank, said,  “At Axis Bank, our focus has been on reimagining high‑impact regulatory journeys through intelligent automation. With the introduction of AI‑powered compliance solutions, critical manual and error-prone processes are being replaced with seamless, insight-driven operations. The combination of Generative AI, document intelligence, and real‑time GST data allows us to simplify complex workflows at scale—benefiting customers with faster, paperless experiences while strengthening compliance and operational resilience. These launches represent an important step in our broader ambition to build future‑ready, AI‑led systems that enhance trust, transparency, and convenience across every business banking touchpoint.”
