The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) Group has entered into a strategic agreement with DFNS, a provider of digital asset custody technology, to introduce digital asset wallet and tokenisation capabilities for on-chain assets.

The partnership forms part of ADX’s broader digital assets strategy and supports its efforts to develop the market infrastructure required for the issuance, listing and trading of digital assets across the UAE and international markets.

Under the agreement, ADX will leverage DFNS’s enterprise-grade wallet infrastructure, becoming one of the first financial market infrastructures in the region to develop integrated digital asset wallet and tokenisation capabilities.

The initiative is designed to support the growth of regulated digital asset services while strengthening the foundations required for tokenised capital markets and on-chain financial products.

Abdulla Al Nuaimi, Group Chief Executive Officer of ADX Group, said, “Our collaboration with DFNS is an important step in building the trusted, institution-grade infrastructure required to translate that potential into scalable market capability. By integrating secure digital asset wallets and tokenisation technology into our ecosystem, ADX aims to establish a robust foundation for a broader range of on-chain products and services.”

He added that the collaboration supports ADX’s strategy to position Abu Dhabi as a globally connected hub for next-generation capital markets, underpinned by governance, operational resilience and investor confidence.

The agreement will see DFNS provide the underlying wallet technology needed to securely manage digital assets, a key component as financial institutions increasingly explore tokenised assets and blockchain-based financial services.

Clarisse Hagège, CEO and Founder of DFNS, said, “ADX is taking a significant step in advancing the infrastructure required for tokenised capital markets, and we are proud to support that journey. As financial institutions increasingly explore digital assets and on-chain financial products, secure wallet infrastructure becomes a critical component of market integrity and investor confidence.”

Hagège added that the partnership will help establish the technological foundations for a new generation of regulated digital asset services, while supporting ADX’s vision of building a trusted and globally competitive digital assets ecosystem.

The collaboration underscores growing momentum in the Middle East’s digital assets sector as exchanges and financial institutions invest in the infrastructure needed to support the adoption of tokenised financial products and blockchain-based market services.
