2021 has been a quite a promising year for the start-up ecosystem in India where we have witnessed an emergence of a number of Unicorns and IPOs in the FinTech arena. One of the prime aspects of it remains the Venture Capitalists who have funded these early stage start-ups and enabled them to escalate their business smoothly.
VC Firms are recognized by SEBI and considered the most suitable forms of funding for early-stage start-ups and small businesses seeking capital for their growth. Here is the rundown of 5 promising Venture Capitalists in India to look out for in 2022:
Amit Ratanpal: A veteran investor, Amit Ratanpal is the Founder & Managing Director of BlinC Invest, one of India’s leading venture capital firms with a focus on FinTech. Amit leads the fundraising, investment, and divestment activities of the fund.
Amit is a Chartered Accountant and also holds an executive MBA from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and has completed the General Management Program from Harvard Business School. 20 years of Investing has given Amit a keen insight into private equity and venture capital, capital markets, investment banking, and asset management.
RK Rangan: A seasoned business leader, RK Rangan is the Chairman & Director of BLinC Invest, a venture capital firm that enables early stage FinTech enterprises to grow and scale up their operations globally. Being at the pole position of decision-making, Rangan oversees the fundraising, investment, and divestment activities of the fund.
Rangan has had over 30-years of prolific career in senior leadership roles including MD/President/CEO levels with global organizations such as American Express, ANZ, AXA, Prudential Plc., Lehman Brothers and most recently with NOMURA.
