Stripe launches Stripe Pay for B2B transfers in USD, GBP and USDC
By Divya Shah
Why it matters: The launch highlights growing demand for real-time business payments, enabling companies to move funds instantly, reduce payment friction and integrate transfers into automated financial workflows.
Stripe has launched Stripe Pay, a new service that enables instant business-to-business (B2B) transfers in USD, GBP and USDC.
The service allows businesses to send funds without transfer fees using a recipient’s profile handle or network ID, helping simplify and accelerate business payments.
Initially available in preview for eligible businesses in the United States and United Kingdom, Stripe Pay currently supports transfers between accounts using the same currency.
Businesses can access the service through both the Stripe Dashboard and the command-line interface (CLI), providing flexibility for manual and automated payment workflows.
To use the service, senders must hold a funded Stripe Treasury financial account. Recipients must have either a Treasury financial account or a payout-enabled bank account connected to their Stripe profile.
Stripe has also introduced a Stripe Directory feature, allowing businesses to search for and verify recipients when they do not have a profile handle or network ID.
For CLI users, the transfer process requires account authentication and confirmation of the recipient, amount, currency and funding account before a payment is sent.
The CLI also supports automation, enabling businesses to integrate transfers into operational workflows. Additionally, users can validate transfers before execution, allowing them to test payment processes without moving funds.
The launch reflects growing demand for faster and more efficient business payment solutions as companies seek real-time money movement capabilities and streamlined financial operations.
