Devexperts appointed Rainer Fuchsluger as Global Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately, as the financial technology provider looks to accelerate growth and expand its technology offerings across the investment and trading lifecycle.

In his new role, he will focus on extending the firm’s value chain across the full investment and trade lifecycle, while driving the adoption of advanced technologies including cloud computing and artificial intelligence. He will also lead the company’s international expansion strategy.

Rainer Fuchsluger, Global Group CEO of Devexperts, said, “Devexperts has built something very special over nearly 25 years, combining deep capital markets expertise, advanced technology and exceptional people with strong client relationships, including banks, brokerages, exchanges and wealth managers.”

He added: “Capital markets are evolving rapidly, driven by demand for trusted data and analytics, resilient market infrastructure and the accelerating adoption of cloud computing and AI. My priority is to stay close to our clients, understand their evolving needs and bring our capabilities closer together across the investment and trade lifecycle. By combining our expertise with continued investment in advanced technologies, we can strengthen our offering and help clients navigate increasingly complex markets without compromising on performance or resilience.”

Fuchsluger succeeded Ben Hurley, who departed the company after more than four years with Devexperts, including the last two years as CEO, to pursue new opportunities.

Prior to joining Devexperts, Fuchsluger held senior leadership positions at LSEG, Wolters Kluwer, SS&C and Thomson Reuters. His career has spanned major financial centres including London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Switzerland, giving him more than 25 years of experience in financial markets and technology.

Michael Babushkin, Founder of Devexperts, said, “Devexperts has always been built on exceptional engineering, advanced technology and long-standing, trusted client relationships. I would like to thank Ben for his leadership and commitment over the past four years and welcome Rainer at an important time for the company. His deep knowledge of global financial markets, combined with a proven track record of scaling technology businesses across major financial centres, will help us build on our strengths and realise our ambitions for international growth.”

Devexperts said AI is already embedded in more than half of its software development pipeline and that the company plans to further expand these capabilities under Fuchsluger’s leadership. The firm is also preparing a global programme in 2027 to mark its 25th anniversary, highlighting its achievements in technology, client relationships and product innovation while outlining its future growth strategy.
