DBS partners with Avaloq for wealth management
By Divya Shah
Singapore-based DBS Bank and wealth technology provider Avaloq have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deepen their partnership and jointly develop next-generation wealth management capabilities for clients and advisers across Asia.
The expanded collaboration brings together DBS’ wealth and investment expertise with Avaloq’s technology platform capabilities. The two organisations will focus on three key areas: enterprise growth, co-innovation, and capability-building initiatives aimed at strengthening the wealth management ecosystem.
The partnership supports DBS’ goal of growing its retail and wealth assets under management to SGD 1 trillion by 2030. A key focus will be enhancing the capabilities and capacity of the bank’s advisers and specialists, enabling them to better serve clients across its wealth management business.
Shee Tse Koon, Group Executive and Head of Consumer Banking and Wealth Management at DBS, said the partnership would enable the organisations to co-create solutions that address evolving client and adviser needs while enhancing productivity across the wealth management value chain.
Under the agreement, the companies will explore broader deployment of the Avaloq platform across DBS’ markets and business lines, with solutions tailored to local market requirements. They will also assess opportunities to jointly develop digital platforms, investment products, execution capabilities, and future wealth management models.
In addition, the partnership will promote skills development and knowledge exchange by combining DBS’ talent pool with Avaloq’s wealth technology expertise. Planned initiatives may include learning programmes, knowledge-sharing sessions, cross-functional exchanges, and wider industry engagement activities.
Martin Greweldinger, Group Chief Executive Officer of Avaloq, said the renewed collaboration would build on nearly two decades of partnership, supporting expansion into new markets, the development of next-generation wealth technology, and the preparation of wealth management professionals for an increasingly AI-enabled industry.
