Visa, AU Small Finance Bank (AU SFB) and credit management platform CheQ have launched the CheQ AU Credit Card, introducing India’s first LED-enabled credit card and highlighting the growing collaboration between banks, payment networks and FinTechs.

The card combines AU SFB’s banking infrastructure, Visa’s global payments network, and CheQ’s consumer engagement capabilities to deliver a digital-first credit product focused on rewards, convenience, and contactless payments.

The feature is an integrated LED activation that illuminates during contactless transactions, transforming the tap-and-pay experience while promoting wider adoption of contactless payments among consumers.

Rishi Chhabra, Country Manager, India, Visa, said, “At Visa, our focus has always been on embedding ourselves meaningfully into the life journeys of consumers by enabling payment experiences that are seamless, trusted, and intuitive. Our partnership with AU Small Finance Bank and CheQ reflects this commitment, bringing together Visa’s global network and technology with strong consumer insight to make everyday payments more rewarding, engaging, and secure.”

The launch reflects increasing efforts by financial institutions and FinTech firms to differentiate card products through technology-enabled user experiences.

Beyond the physical innovation, the card offers a rewards programme tailored to digitally active consumers. Cardholders can earn 12% reward points across selected brands, including Amazon, Flipkart, Zomato, BigBasket, and Apple, as well as on utility payments and CheQ Travel.

The card also provides 5% reward points across more than 10,000 partner brands and 1% reward points on other eligible spending.

Rewards can be redeemed through the CheQ app for travel bookings and gift cards, with two reward points equivalent to INR 1. The card is also offered as a lifetime-free product, eliminating annual fee requirements.

The partnership demonstrates how banks, payment networks and digital platforms are increasingly working together to develop differentiated credit products that combine embedded rewards, digital engagement and innovative payment technology. The model enables financial institutions to leverage FinTech-driven customer insights while expanding access to new consumer segments.

Yogesh Jain, Deputy CEO of AU Small Finance Bank, said that the card combines meaningful rewards with a unique payment experience through India’s first LED-enabled credit card.

The launch comes as India’s digital payments ecosystem continues to evolve, with financial institutions increasingly using technology-led features and personalised rewards to drive card adoption, engagement and contactless payment usage among consumers.
