Probe42 launches lending intelligence and AI research tools

Probe42 has launched two new capabilities, P&P CERSAI and Mercury, aimed at strengthening secured lending and business intelligence for banks, financial institutions and enterprises in India.

The company has introduced P&P CERSAI to provide access to security interest registrations for proprietorship and partnership businesses, a segment that has traditionally lacked structured and accessible financial information. The solution has enabled lenders to search borrowers using Permanent Account Number (PAN) details and access information on pledged assets, registered charges, borrower relationships and lending institutions through a single platform.

According to Probe42, the platform has provided access to more than 90 million security interest records covering over 14 million proprietorship and partnership firms. The company has said the capability has supported credit underwriting, risk assessment and regulatory compliance by offering a more comprehensive view of secured liabilities.

Alongside P&P CERSAI, Probe42 has launched Mercury, an AI-powered research assistant that has enabled users to research companies and business entities through a conversational interface. The assistant has generated contextual responses using the platform’s underlying business intelligence, reducing the need to navigate multiple reports and datasets.

Probe42 has stated that Mercury has already seen strong organic adoption and has expanded its capabilities across the platform, including support for the proprietorship and partnership segment.

Prahlad Krishnamurthi, Chief Executive Officer of Probe42, has said the new offerings have addressed long-standing information gaps for proprietorship and partnership businesses while supporting faster opportunity discovery, risk evaluation and lending decisions.

The launches have formed part of Probe42’s strategy to establish a unified business intelligence platform for entities across India, enabling financial institutions to make more informed lending decisions through enhanced borrower insights and AI-driven research capabilities.
