Investec Selects Infosys Finacle for Core Banking Upgrade

Investec has selected Infosys Finacle’s cloud-native banking platform to modernise its core banking operations across South Africa, the UK, Mauritius and the Channel Islands as part of a multi-country digital transformation programme.

Sajit Vijayakumar, Chief Executive Officer at Infosys Finacle, said: “Our cloud-native banking platform will help Investec accelerate innovation, strengthen operational agility and deliver more intelligent, personalised banking experiences at scale.”

The bank has adopted the Finacle Digital Banking Solution Suite on Microsoft Azure, migrating from legacy systems to a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed to support its long-term growth strategy. The deployment has included the Finacle Deposits Suite, Lending Suite, Virtual Accounts Management and Liquidity Management Solution.

Lyndon Subroyen, Global Head of Digital and Technology for Investec Group, said: “Our partnership with Infosys Finacle and Microsoft Azure marks a step change in our digital transformation journey. We are building a stronger digital foundation to scale with our clients, deliver more seamless experiences and improve operational efficiency.”

The new platform has been designed to improve operational efficiency, increase business agility and support regulatory compliance across multiple markets. It has also provided a technology foundation for expanding the bank’s use of AI and data-driven capabilities.

According to the companies, the Finacle Lending Suite has enabled faster digital lending journeys and more personalised product delivery, while the Virtual Accounts Management solution has strengthened cash management services for corporate clients through real-time reconciliation and simplified account structures. The Liquidity Management Solution has offered real-time visibility into cash positions and working capital to support liquidity optimisation and financial decision-making.

The SaaS deployment on Microsoft Azure has also supported scalability, resilience and high availability, while Finacle’s API-based architecture has enabled easier integration with third-party FinTech services and ecosystem partners.
