MetaProp secures DFDF backing to expand PropTech investment
By Milan Rojan
MetaProp has secured a strategic investment from Dubai Future District Fund (DFDF), strengthening its early-stage PropTech investment platform while expanding opportunities for portfolio companies across the Middle East.
Nader Albastaki, Managing Director of Dubai Future District Fund, said: “MetaProp represents exactly the kind of early-stage, sector-specialist manager we want anchoring our PropTech portfolio. Their accelerator programme is a rigorous validation engine, where seasoned industry operators assess whether companies are truly ready for scale.”
MetaProp, one of the world’s most active venture capital firms focused exclusively on property technology, has invested in early-stage startups from pre-seed to Series A. The firm is recognised for its accelerator programme, which has combined funding with mentorship, industry expertise and access to a network of real estate operators.
Aaron Block, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of MetaProp, said: “DFDF’s commitment strengthens our ability to back the most promising founders while deepening our engagement in the MENA region.”
The investment has positioned MetaProp as a key early-stage PropTech partner for DFDF, supporting the fund’s ambition to foster innovation in Dubai’s real estate sector while creating new opportunities for US-founded startups seeking regional expansion.
As part of the collaboration, MetaProp and DFDF have planned to introduce a Dubai module within the firm’s accelerator programme. The initiative has been designed to connect founders from MetaProp’s portfolio with investors, property developers and industry stakeholders across the Middle East, providing a pathway for companies looking to scale internationally.
The partnership has also reflected growing collaboration between US venture capital firms and international investment funds seeking to accelerate innovation in real estate technology. Through DFDF’s regional network, MetaProp portfolio companies have gained access to new commercial opportunities and potential market entry across the Middle East.
