Paysafe has expanded its partnership with video game monetisation platform Tebex, enabling game studios and server operators to offer a wider range of payment options through a single integration with the Paysafe API.
Zak Cutler, President of Global Gaming at Paysafe, said: “We’re delighted to broaden our partnership with Tebex. By connecting the Tebex Checkout to an exhaustive range of payment options, the Paysafe Gateway will give Tebex and its customers an edge when it comes to streamlining, simplifying and ultimately optimising the monetisation of gaming.”
The expanded collaboration has seen Tebex integrate the Paysafe Gateway into its checkout platform, allowing merchants to accept credit and debit card payments alongside multiple alternative payment methods (APMs). The integration builds on a relationship that began in 2016, when Tebex introduced PaysafeCard as a payment option for gamers.
Liam Wiltshire, Vice President and General Manager of Tebex, said: “Expanding our partnership with Paysafe allows Tebex to offer greater choice and flexibility at checkout, helping our partners reach more players, reduce friction, and unlock new opportunities for growth.”
Through the Paysafe API, Tebex customers can now access Paysafe’s broader payment portfolio without requiring multiple integrations. The company said the streamlined approach is designed to simplify payment acceptance while supporting regional payment preferences and improving checkout conversion rates.
The Tebex Checkout has already gone live with Openbucks, Paysafe’s branded APM, enabling gamers in the US to pay online with cash using third-party gift cards available at more than 67,000 retail locations or through Openbucks’ digital card.
Paysafe said the expanded partnership strengthens its gaming payments offering by helping merchants simplify payment acceptance, improve player experiences and support business growth across international markets while offering greater payment flexibility to gamers.
