Yuno has partnered with Onafriq to integrate its Pan-African payments network into Yuno’s orchestration platform, creating a single connection point for merchants seeking access to African payment rails.

As cross-border commerce has expanded, businesses have continued to face friction linked to multiple local payment systems, varying regulatory frameworks and disconnected financial infrastructure. The partnership has addressed these challenges by consolidating access through one orchestration layer, which has enabled faster deployment and simplified scaling across multiple jurisdictions.

Juan Pablo Ortega, Co-Founder and CEO, Yuno, said, “Africa represents one of the most exciting growth opportunities in global commerce, and yet too many merchants are still locked out by payment infrastructure that wasn’t built for scale. Our partnership with Onafriq changes that.”

Onafriq’s network has supported end-to-end payment capabilities including real-time disbursements, merchant collections, card issuance, treasury operations and stablecoin-based settlement solutions. These services have been underpinned by local regulatory authorisations and internationally recognised security standards, which have strengthened compliance and operational resilience for cross-border transactions.

Dare Okoudjou, CEO, Onafriq, said, “Through a single connection, global merchants can reach consumers and businesses across Africa more seamlessly than ever before, while more people across the continent gain access to the digital economy on their own terms. For us, this is what making borders matter less looks like in practice.”

Through the integration, Yuno’s clients have been able to process payouts to mobile wallets, bank accounts and cash pickup locations, while also accepting payments across multiple channels without managing separate integrations or compliance requirements. The combined offering has reduced technical overhead and has improved access to localised payment infrastructure.

The partnership has positioned Africa as a more accessible growth market for global merchants, with Yuno’s platform acting as a unified gateway to regional payment networks. The collaboration has aligned with broader efforts to expand global payment connectivity across emerging markets.

Onafriq has extended its reach to a wider base of international merchants through the integration, enabling more seamless participation in African digital commerce ecosystems. The combined infrastructure has supported improved payment flow efficiency, stronger interoperability and broader financial inclusion across the continent.
