Webull has expanded its retirement investing capabilities with the launch of mutual funds for IRA accounts, giving eligible U.S. customers access to professionally managed investment products through its digital investment platform.

The new offering enables IRA investors to invest in mutual funds directly within the Webull ecosystem, allowing them to build more diversified portfolios while managing long-term investments and retirement savings from a single platform. The launch is initially being rolled out in beta to select U.S.-based customers, with broader availability planned for all eligible IRA accounts in the coming months.

According to Webull, the addition of mutual funds is intended to support a range of retirement planning needs, including regular retirement contributions, portfolio diversification and the rollover of existing retirement assets. The company noted that mutual funds remain a popular investment vehicle among long-term investors due to their diversified exposure to stocks, bonds and other securities, as well as professional portfolio management.

Lindsay Ryan, Head of U.S. Products at Webull, said, ” Expanding access to mutual funds within IRA accounts allows investors to more easily diversify their portfolios and manage their retirement savings through a single platform. By bringing more investment choices into one streamlined experience, we’re helping clients simplify long-term financial planning and stay focused on achieving their goals. “

The initial offering includes access to no-load mutual funds for eligible IRA holders. Webull also plans to expand the available fund universe through the addition of new funds and CUSIPs over time. The company further stated that support for Automated Customer Account Transfer Service (ACAT) transfers of mutual fund holdings is expected in a future release, providing greater flexibility for investors transferring assets between brokerage platforms.

The launch reflects a broader trend across digital investment platforms as providers seek to extend beyond self-directed trading and offer a wider range of wealth management and retirement-focused investment solutions to meet evolving investor needs.
