Viva.com and BANCOMAT partner to optimise digital payments in Italy

Viva.com, a European technology bank that powers merchant payment acceptance on any device, and BANCOMAT, one of the leading payment networks in Italy, have announced their strategic partnership. Viva.com will now enable its Italian merchant network to accept PagoBANCOMAT®, followed shortly by BANCOMAT Pay®.

With 31.6 million cards in circulation and 2.3 billion payments worth 114 billion euros, BANCOMAT leads the debit card payments market in Italy. PagoBANCOMAT® and BANCOMAT Pay® circuit will be available on Viva.com’s omnichannel payment platform.

This enables these payment methods on Tap on Any Device technology, featuring the Terminal app for in-store payments on 985+ devices. It also enables Smart Checkout to host a payment gateway for online stores, including all other payment channels, such as Viva.com’s marketplace payment solution for platforms.

Principal membership with BANCOMAT optimizes the efficiency and costs of Viva.com’s payments value chain. Leveraging its established Europe-wide infrastructure, Viva.com will seamlessly facilitate BANCOMAT’s future geographical expansion, delivering comprehensive accessibility across the continent.
