Prof. Dr. Obiyathulla Ismat Bacha, INCEIF
Prof. Dr Obiyathulla Ismath Bacha achieved his Bachelor of Social Science from the University Science Malaysia, a Master of Business Administration, a Masters in Economics and his Doctor of Business Administration in Finance from Boston University. He is currently a professor of Finance at INCEIF. Previously he has held several key positions at the International Islamic University of Malaysia.
He was also an assistant professor in finance at Boston University, he taught at both MBA and undergraduate levels. He is also an active Shariah advisor to institutions such as Five Pillars and Sabana REIT. Prof. Dr. Obiyathulla is also the Vice President of the Malaysian Economic Association and a member of the Malaysian Finance Association.
Raheel Iqbal, Managing Partner, Codebase technologies
Raheel is the Managing Partner of Codebase Technologies, a pioneer in the FinTech and Software space, and has over 15 years of experience working alongside leading organizations in the US, EU, Middle East and APAC across technology, consulting, and product development.
He has extensive knowledge and expertise within Digital Banking Operations, Regulatory Compliance, Payments, Cards and Platform Integration and a rich history of working alongside C-Suite and Boards. This allows him to drive Codebase’s efforts to develop innovative products and services which now span over 14 systems and power a range of leading FinTech enabled players, including three digital banks in the GCC and Europe.
Raheel’s in-depth understanding and industry knowledge is recognized by leading financial institutions and regulators globally and he is an influential speaker and facilitator on various technology and business-related topics including banking, payments, fintech, and finance both in GCC and beyond. Raheel has a degree from the Manchester Business School.
