FinTech GoCardless today announced the appointment of Stephen Reidy as the Vice President and General Manager for the UK and Ireland. Reidy will be based at the FinTech’s London headquarters and will be responsible for leading the Sales and Account Executive team. The new hire will also aim to drive strategic growth for implementation of the company’s go-to-market strategy.

Even Walser, Chief Revenue Officer at GoCardless commented, “As an expert in high-growth technology and SaaS companies, Reidy has brought a wealth of sales experience to the team and will be instrumental in leading our next phase of growth in the UK and Ireland.”

Previously, Reidy held the position of the Director of Sales for the UK and Ireland. He was also responsible for technology and media clients globally at Google Cloud and also held senior sales roles at Cisco across London and the Middle East.

“I am very excited to be part of the GoCardless journey, helping customers in the UK and Ireland get paid faster, improve cash flow, and significantly reduce admin and payment costs,” said Reidy. “I believe GoCardess is pioneering the way companies think about recurring payments, and I am looking forward to developing strategic relationships with our clients and partners, whilst helping each of them to enhance their payment strategy.”

Recently, GoCardless announced the launch of GoCardless for Salesforce Billing on Salesforce AppExchange. The new development is expected to provide Salesforce customers with direct access to the FinTech’s global bank debit network, thus allowing them to take control of their domestic and international recurring payments.
