Dynamo acquires Imagineer Technology Group; combines two leading alternatives software vendors

Dynamo Software, formerly Netage Solutions, the premier provider of industry-specific, configurable asset management, and reporting software for the alternative assets industry has announced the acquisition of Imagineer Technology Group, a software and services provider helping investor relations, fund marketing, and investment management professionals manage their client relationships.

The acquisition combines two of the top alternatives software vendors. Dynamo, majority-owned by private equity firm Francisco Partners, did not disclose the terms of the deal. However, through the partnership, Dynamo is adding significant value across its product set and is bringing its customer base to over 1,000 clients of its CRM, deal management, portfolio monitoring, and investor reporting capabilities. Imagineer is a natural complement to Dynamo, which serves customers on a global scale with offices and staff in London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sofia, Buenos Aires, and Boston.

The acquisition further expands Dynamo’s rapidly growing presence due to both sustained organic growth and recent strategic activity. Dynamo has shown a specific interest in Imagineer’s Clienteer platform, an intuitive and highly configurable relationship management platform designed for hedge funds, private equity, and other asset managers to streamline their CRM, fund marketing, and investor relations workflows. It streamlines fund sales and marketing activities while also enabling users to track investor transactions and account performance metrics. Its WebVision software provides fund managers with fully customizable communications and reporting portal combined with a cloud-based content management system. This allows clients to digitize the fundraising process and securely share information with their respective clients.
