YellowPepper & Unicomer Group partner to launch new credit line solution, Emma

Latin American YellowPepper, creating the next generation payment ecosystem, has announced that the company has partnered with Unicomer Group, a multinational retailing group, to launch Emma ( Easy Mobile Money Access ) in Costa Rica.
Emma is the new application of the Unicomer Group, which offers personalized credit lines enabling consumers to virtually finance purchases of numerous products without intermediaries. The platform makes use of artificial intelligence to get the user registered quickly. The application analyzes user information for credit approval, and the amount of the installment can be chosen during purchases, and can be made through the use of QR codes.
“Emma is yet another example of how digital solutions can provide efficient and diverse ways for consumers to make purchases. We are extremely pleased to have contributed to the creation of an application that is revolutionizing the way Costa Ricans shop,” said CEO and co-founder of YellowPepper, Serge Elkiner.

The solution aims to help users during the COVID-19 pandemic, when people are trying to avoid using cash and respect social distancing, among other new guidelines, when doing shopping.

The application is available in iOS and Android smartphones and allows users to select the amounts, terms, and number of installments of their payments without red tape. The application is not exclusive to Unicomer Group customers and can be used by anyone. The payment solution can also be used in different stores, pharmacies, hotels, and other retailers in Costa Rica.
Recently, YellowPepper partnered with Peruvian banks BBVA, Interbank & Scotiabank to launch PLIN.
