Worldline partners with Ingenico to strengthen market position in payment services

Worldline today announced that it has teamed up with Ingenico with an aim to enhance its payment services and to compete with international payment leaders. The company stated that the collaboration is expected to offer merchants with improved solutions and services through integrated payment solutions, advanced technology, innovation capacities and an extended global footprint.

Worldline stated that it will strengthen product innovation and reinforce its investment capabilities with new domains including personal payments terminal, new payment in-store, social & voice commerce, new payment platforms, data services, digital ticketing, etc. The combination with Ingenico will also increase Worldline’s payment volumes, widening opportunities for partnerships with financial institutions in addition to 1,200 financial institutions that the company currently works with, processing c. 5.6 billion acquiring transactions each year.
Recently, Worldline and PSA Payment Services Austria GmbH have extended their partnership for a further five years with an aim to continue benefiting Austria’s digital payment system. Worldline will continue to process all transactions made using Austrian debit cards on PSA’s behalf.
