viva walletFinTech Viva Wallet has reportedly teamed up with open source e-commerce platform PrestaShop for allowing online merchants across Europe and the UK to accept fully localized payments through the FinTech’s new module.  The company stated that the module will offer payments that adapt automatically to the client’s use. Merchants can expect a higher conversion rate while end customers of online shops will be offered a fully localized experience based on their location (language and type of local types of payments) and their preferences (eg. Device, previous way of payments).

Yannis Larios, VP of Strategy at Viva Wallet, stated, “Viva Wallet helps businesses across 23 countries increase their revenue by providing payments tools which can be activated instantly. The Viva Wallet module for PrestaShop, will help merchants immediately get a local IBAN account, to activate payments acceptance for all international card schemes and also for local payment methods, and to use their Viva Wallet business debit card, all in a few clicks. And further to that, online merchants may reduce payments fees down to 0% by using our one-click Viva Wallet module inside Prestashop.”

Recently, the company announced that its customers in 11 countries will be able to use Google Pay from their Android phones. The company’s customers can save their Viva Wallet Debit Card and securely pay on websites, in apps, and stores by using Google Pay. Customers can start using their phone to tap and pay wherever contactless transactions are accepted, such as in a store or on public transport, giving them the ability to pay without needing to take out their wallet or use a pin pad.

Last year, JCB and Viva Wallet extended their partnership in a bid to enable contact and contactless payment between their European merchants and cardmembers. The roll-out will be extended to an additional 6 European nations, thus allowing the FinTech to bring JCB acceptance to merchants across 23 European countries.
