VelmieVelmie, a banking technology provider, has announced its collaboration with Metro Cable – to launch Vult, a digital wallet solution in Sierra Leone.

The digital wallet solution is designed to offer users a secure and convenient way to make online transactions, deposits, withdrawals, pay bills, and send and receive money in multiple currencies, all within a single platform.

Slava Ivashkin, CEO at Velmie, said, “We are thrilled to partner with Metro Cable to launch Vult, a digital wallet solution that will revolutionize financial transactions in Sierra Leone. By combining our expertise in Fintech software with Metro Cable’s commitment to connectivity, we aim to bridge the gap in financial inclusion and empower individuals and businesses across the country.”

The Vult app has both a wallet and a card function. The Vult Wallet enables users to make online transactions securely, pay bills, and shop at any visa-approved location. It incorporates end-to-end encryption to safeguard all transactions, ensuring the highest level of security for users.

Alongside the wallet, Velmie and Metro Cable are introducing the Vult Card, a globally accepted payment card that can be used for online and in-store purchases. The Vult Card offers the same level of security as the wallet and allows users to manage their finances with ease.

Additionally, Vult Pay, another feature of the Vult ecosystem, provides seamless integration with existing business applications for payments, efficient cash management and reporting. Businesses can also benefit from the Vult Pay Point, a point-of-sale terminal service that facilitates secure payment collections and allows for cash-in and cash-out transactions.

“This is a really exciting initiative – the first of its kind in Sierra Leone.  We believe that Vult will have massive ripple effects in the country – bolstering economic growth and financial inclusion. We are grateful to our partner  Velmie, who has provided invaluable support and expertise.” – said Pierre Johnson, COO at Metro Cable.
