Unlimint enters crypto space with GateFi launch
By Gloria Methri
London-based global FinTech Unlimint is marking its expansion into the crypto space with the launch of its new solution called GateFi. The solution allows users worldwide to exchange fiat money into crypto and visa versa, while also acting as a Web3 onboarding solution, that opens the gates to Web 3 and Defi.
Unlimint offers payment capabilities through a financial interface to start-ups and businesses across five continents. The company is set to launch GateFi during the Web Summit in Lisbon from 1 to 4 November 2022.
The new crypto solution allows clients to pay from anywhere and through any channel. GateFi also provides decentralised app developers, the ability to connect traditional payment networks to public blockchain networks.
They can embed a widget on their website, enabling users to the on-ramp and off-ramp (exchange their fiat money for cryptocurrencies and crypto assets like NFTs, and vice-versa). Dapp developers worldwide can benefit from Unlimint’s GateFi across several verticals, such as financial apps, social apps, NFTs, and gaming.
Commenting on the launch, Jack Jia, Head of GateFi at Unlimint said, “Payment infrastructure has always been a core component of the money lego set for dapp developers to onboard real-world users to the world of Web3. At Unlimint, we see this new solution as the future. We will build with the builders and unlock key innovations to reign in a new era of crypto adoption for Defi, NFT, and Gamefi. By combining our experience as a traditional payment company, with longstanding trusted networks, to forward-thinking ideas and current trends around crypto, we are positive GateFi will deliver a unique experience within the decentralised and blockchain world, preparing our clients for tomorrow.”
