Trulioo has partnered with WEX, a platform specialising in payments and fleet management. Through this collaboration, WEX will integrate Trulioo Document Verification and Biometrics into its European fuel card services, replacing manual KYC procedures with a secure, digital-first process designed to enhance both compliance and customer experience.
As digital onboarding continues to face increasing fraud threats and rising regulatory demands, the partnership positions WEX to deliver faster, safer and more seamless verification journeys. Leveraging Trulioo’s proven capabilities in global compliance and advanced identity verification, WEX is strengthening its ability to detect fraudulent activity, safeguard customers, and streamline onboarding while reinforcing its role as an innovation-driven payments provider.
The decision to select Trulioo followed a comprehensive review of leading verification solutions. WEX highlighted the platform’s global coverage, regulatory expertise, and intuitive user experience as decisive factors. Advanced guided document capture and real-time post-capture feedback, key differentiators within the Trulioo solution, further underscored its suitability for WEX’s expansion across Europe.
William Fitzgerald, VP, Fraud & Financial Crimes at WEX, said, “Partnering with Trulioo marks an important step in our ongoing commitment to innovation and delivering the best possible experience for our customers. By replacing manual, time-consuming processes with intelligent verification, we’re helping to reduce fraud risk, streamline onboarding and create a seamless digital experience for our customers. Trulioo is the ideal partner as we evolve our fuel card offerings across Europe and beyond.”
Trulioo Document Verification combines biometrics, artificial intelligence and machine learning to combat increasingly sophisticated fraud techniques. Certified at iBeta Level 2 and demonstrating a 100% fraud catch rate, the solution deploys a proprietary algorithm trained on more than 25 million global images and analyses over 200 biometric markers to ensure accuracy, inclusivity and resilience against deepfakes and injection attacks.
Vicky Bindra, CEO of Trulioo, said, “Our partnership with WEX reflects a shared commitment to faster, safer and smarter customer experiences. Across regulated industries, businesses are looking to balance smooth digital experiences with the highest standards of security and compliance. Trulioo makes this possible with intelligent, automated identity verification at a global scale. We’re proud to support WEX in continuing to enhance onboarding, mitigate fraud and build lasting trust with their customers.”
