Mangopay, Troc Vélo, Payment Infrastructure, FinTech, B2B Payments, BNPL, Payment Infrastructure Provider, UK, EuropeTroc Vélo, France’s second-hand bicycle marketplace, has selected Mangopay, a modular payment infrastructure for platforms, to manage payments between its users.

By integrating Mangopay’s solutions to improve the online payment process, Troc Vélo is removing a key barrier to second-hand purchases between individuals on its platform. The new transaction journey facilitated by Mangopay is fully integrated into the user’s purchasing experience, making transactions simple, smooth and secure.

Troc Vélo, the platform for buying and selling second-hand bikes and outdoor equipment in France, sees as many as 750 new items added every day. With the majority of its transactions taking place privately between individuals, the company was looking to enhance the security of the payment process to provide an optimal user experience and encourage the adoption and growth of cycling.

Thanks to Mangopay’s expertise and payment solutions, transactions on the Troc Vélo platform now benefit from the highest industry security standards. Mangopay stores funds until the buyer and seller agree on the sale and exchange of the bike. This not only reassures the seller that the buyer has the funds available before meeting in person but also ensures that the item purchased meets the buyer’s expectations before the transaction is finalised.

Mangopay handles the entire payment flow, with its advanced solutions enabling tracking and managing every stage of the transaction process to ensure a smooth and secure customer experience. Troc Vélo will benefit from Mangopay’s expertise in securing high-value transactions while offering the added flexibility and scalability needed to support its growth.

Nina Dei Tos, Head of Product at Troc Vélo, said, “This collaboration marks the start of a new era for our company, enabling both buyers and sellers to benefit from an even more reliable and efficient experience with us. It also paves the way for future developments to strengthen the purchasing power of those on the lookout for good deals and the re-use of cycling and outdoor products.”

Tristan Torres-Velat, VP of Global Sales at Mangopay, said, “We are delighted to support Troc Vélo in its mission to secure its online transactions. The rapid integration of our solution reflects the fantastic synergy that was created between our two technical teams from the outset. Our expertise will enable Troc Vélo to offer a superior user experience and pave the way for future innovative services.”
