TON OpenPayd

TON Foundation, the non-profit organisation overseeing the development of the TON Blockchain, has selected OpenPayd to provide the global fiat infrastructure supporting its rapidly expanding ecosystem. The partnership aims to streamline the foundation’s financial operations, enhance cross-border payments, and strengthen support for developers and community initiatives.

OpenPayd, a provider of universal financial infrastructure, will serve as a core operational layer for TON Foundation, connecting international fiat rails through a single API. This integration is expected to improve the efficiency of ecosystem grant funding, simplify multi-currency treasury operations, and facilitate seamless movement of funds across multiple regions. By providing a unified financial backbone, OpenPayd enables TON Foundation to scale its operations without the friction traditionally associated with global fiat management.

TON Blockchain, a decentralised and open-source blockchain native to Telegram, powers the platform’s Mini App ecosystem, which serves over 1 billion monthly active users. Deeply integrated into Telegram’s interface, TON enables developers to build and deploy applications with a global user base. The addition of OpenPayd’s infrastructure allows the foundation to more effectively route fiat flows to ecosystem partners, community programs, and operational initiatives, enhancing the speed and reliability of financial operations worldwide.

Iana Dimitrova, CEO of OpenPayd, said, “TON Foundation is building one of the most strategically positioned blockchain ecosystems in the world. Their community-led model, combined with their integration into the Telegram environment, creates extraordinary global reach, and that requires financial infrastructure that can match it. We’re proud to have been chosen by TON Foundation to support their fiat operations, enabling them to fund grants, support builders, and scale new initiatives across borders with ease.”

Max Crown, President and CEO of TON Foundation, added, “Partnering with OpenPayd gives us a far more agile and globally connected financial backbone. Through this integration, we can now move funds at greater speed, simplify how we manage currencies, and resource the teams and builders driving TON’s growth more effectively. It’s an upgrade to our core operations and a catalyst for the next stage of our global growth.”

The partnership underscores a growing trend in the blockchain sector: as decentralised networks mature, the need for reliable, global fiat infrastructure becomes critical. By adopting OpenPayd’s unified financial system, TON Foundation positions itself to accelerate ecosystem development, support a broader community of developers, and manage international financial operations with greater efficiency a step increasingly seen as essential for blockchain ecosystems seeking sustainable, scalable growth.
