TemenosTemenos launches Gen AI Copilot to enhance bank product development has introduced the Temenos Product Manager Copilot, a generative AI-powered assistant designed to help banks streamline the design, testing, and launch of new financial products.

Embedded within Temenos’ core retail banking system, the Copilot tool uses Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service to offer a conversational interface. It enables product, IT, and customer service teams to access core banking features and insights more intuitively, supporting faster and more relevant product development.

Offered as part of Temenos’ advanced and enterprise retail account offerings, the Product Manager Copilot allows users to interact via built-in user agents or through familiar platforms like Microsoft Teams. This functionality provides teams with rapid access to business insights without requiring complex data queries.

The tool also supports integration with existing AI agents or bank-specific data systems, offering flexibility in deployment. Backed by Azure’s enterprise-level infrastructure, it ensures scalability, security, and data confidentiality.

Over 950 banks globally, from large multinationals to regional institutions, use Temenos’ core banking systems. Gen AI’s addition aims to enhance the platform’s utility by reducing time to market and supporting operational efficiency.

A recent Temenos study found that 75% of banks are currently exploring generative AI, with 36% already deploying or in the process of doing so. Furthermore, 73% of respondents believe agentic AI could be transformative for the sector.

Barb Morgan, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Temenos, said, “Temenos Product Manager Copilot unlocks the full innovation potential of Temenos’ core banking using Generative AI to help banks deliver better products faster to their customers. In an era where FinTechs and neobanks can launch new offerings within weeks, it is critical for banks to accelerate innovation or risk losing relevance in an increasingly competitive landscape.”

The tool has been co-developed with input from Temenos’ Design Partner clients, including Banque Internationale à Luxembourg.

Christine Huberty, Deputy CIO at Banque Internationale à Luxembourg, said, “We’re excited about the new capabilities of Temenos Product Manager Copilot. The conversational interface will make it easier to access core banking functionality and data, helping bank staff work more efficiently and launch products faster to market. We value our ongoing collaboration with Temenos and the opportunity to contribute to this innovation.”

Clare Barclay, Corporate Vice President of Enterprise, Industry and Software Development Partners at Microsoft, added, “Azure OpenAI integration enables trusted, enterprise-grade AI experiences across industries. Through our collaboration with Temenos, banks can now harness the power of generative AI to accelerate product innovation, enhance customer engagement, and operate with greater agility and intelligence.”

The Temenos Product Manager Copilot is expected to be generally available in Q4 2025.
