Temenos has appointed Takis Spiliopoulos as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, following a Board-led search supported by an external executive firm. Spiliopoulos, who joined the company in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer, has served as Interim CEO since September 2025.

During his interim tenure, Spiliopoulos helped shape and execute Temenos’ strategic roadmap, guiding the firm through a period of operational stability and continued investment in long-term growth initiatives. His background spans software, product development, and financial technology, alongside extensive experience in strategy, operations, and finance.

According to the company, the selection process evaluated a strong slate of internal and external candidates before the Board concluded that Spiliopoulos’ leadership track record and sector expertise best positioned him to advance Temenos’ strategic ambitions. A search is now underway for a new Chief Financial Officer.

Thibault de Tersant, Chair of the Board, said the appointment reflects confidence in Spiliopoulos’ ability to drive execution and maintain Temenos’ culture. “He has been instrumental in defining and executing our strategy, delivering strong results while continuing to invest for long-term growth,” de Tersant said. “In his role as Interim CEO, Takis clearly demonstrated he was the right choice, bringing stability and an execution-focused mindset to the company.”

In a statement, Takis Spiliopoulos, CEO, Temenos, said, “Our strategy and investment plan are clear, and our strategic roadmap and priorities remain unchanged; delivering value for our clients and shareholders,” he noted. He added that Temenos’ culture “built on collaboration, empowerment and trust” will remain central as the company focuses on future growth.
