Customers booking tickets on TAP’s official website, flytap.com, can now opt to “Pay in 3” with Klarna—splitting the total cost into three equal, interest-free instalments. Alternatively, travellers can continue to pay in full with a single payment at checkout.

The new partnership is designed to make air travel more financially accessible, offering greater flexibility for passengers planning both leisure and business trips. Klarna’s payment options are now available across TAP’s international network, which includes destinations in Europe, the Americas, and Africa.

Renato Inacio, TAP’s Corporate Finance Senior Director, stated that the airline is “once again leading the way in innovation” by offering modern and reliable travel payment solutions. He highlighted the collaboration with Klarna as part of TAP’s ongoing digital transformation and commitment to enhancing the customer experience.

Alexandre Fernandes, Klarna’s Director for Spain and Portugal, said the integration would allow travellers to manage their travel budgets more effectively, noting that booking flights should be “as smooth as the journey itself.”

This development positions TAP among the first European carriers to offer Klarna’s instalment-based payment solution, aligning with broader trends in the travel and FinTech industries that aim to improve affordability and customer convenience.

TAP’s global network, combined with Klarna’s commitment to seamless, interest-free payments, delivers a smoother, more accessible travel experience—just in time for summer getaways and holiday planning.
