Tally Solutions migrates TallyPrime to Oracle Cloud infrastructure

Tally Solutions has migrated its TallyPrime Cloud Access platform to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), a move the company says has reduced its IT infrastructure costs by 30% while improving scalability and availability for small and medium-sized business (SMB) users.
The announcement was made at the Oracle AI World Tour in Mumbai.
Founded in 1986, Tally Solutions serves nearly three million customers globally. Its flagship product, TallyPrime, is a business management software platform that supports accounting, inventory, banking, and statutory compliance—functions that are increasingly shifting to cloud-based environments as SMBs seek remote access to financial data and operations.
The migration enables secure, anytime-anywhere access to TallyPrime, addressing growing demand for cloud-enabled financial management tools among small businesses. As usage volumes increase, the company said it required a more resilient and scalable infrastructure to maintain performance and uptime.
“At Tally Solutions, our focus has always been on making business management simpler and more reliable for small and medium enterprises as they grow,” said Tejas Goenka, Managing Director, Tally Solutions. “As usage scales and expectations around availability and performance increase, having a stable and efficient cloud foundation becomes critical. OCI has helped us improve operational efficiency, optimize IT infrastructure costs, and support the scale at which TallyPrime is used every day.”
Goenka added that the company plans to explore cloud and AI capabilities to improve system efficiency and deliver more actionable insights to its user base.
As part of the deployment, TallyPrime Cloud Access now runs on OCI Compute and OCI Kubernetes Engine to improve scalability and automation. OCI Object Storage is being used to support data management, performance, and service reliability.
“As India’s small and medium-sized businesses continue to expand, they need a reliable and scalable platform that can support them at every stage,” said Kapil Makhija, Vice President, Technology Cloud, Oracle India. “By running TallyPrime Cloud Access on OCI, Tally Solutions has modernized one of India’s most widely used BMS platforms to deliver the reliability and consistency its users depend on.”
