Suresh Viswanathan joins Nationwide as Chief Operating Officer

British mutual financial institution Nationwide has announced Suresh Viswanathan as its Chief Operating Officer. Viswanathan has extensive experience in delivering data-led technology and digital transformation with a focus on improving customer experience.
According to Nationwide, Viswanathan has a track record in strengthening operational resilience and throughout his career, has developed a sophisticated understanding of core banking systems and digital technology. Over the past decade, he has been the COO at Barclays UK and more recently at TSB.
Debbie Crosbie, Nationwide Building Society’s Chief Executive, said, “I am delighted to be working with Suresh on the next chapter in the Society’s digital ambitions. His passion to do the right thing for members and colleagues, coupled with his wide-ranging expertise and industry connections, will prove invaluable as we improve our digital capability.”
