SumUp has been named the official payment partner for Between the Bridges, the entertainment and events venue located on London’s South Bank.

As part of the agreement, SumUp will provide payment processing and ordering solutions across the venue, which hosts around 50 independent traders, food vendors and creative businesses. The partnership also includes naming rights, with the venue now officially branded as “Between the Bridges Powered by SumUp.”

The deal strengthens SumUp’s presence in the UK’s live entertainment and hospitality sectors, following its appointment last year as the official payment processor for The O2.

The partnership reflects SumUp’s strategy of supporting independent businesses and expanding its enterprise payment solutions across large-scale venues and cultural destinations.

Pierre Lion, Global Director of Enterprise Sales at SumUp, said the collaboration aligns with the company’s commitment to empowering independent businesses through modern payment technology.

Meanwhile, Marcus Weedon, Co-Founder and Director of Between the Bridges, said the partnership would help improve the visitor and vendor experience across the venue through streamlined digital payments and ordering systems.

Located along the River Thames, Between the Bridges has become a popular destination for live entertainment, food, and cultural events in central London. By integrating SumUp’s payment infrastructure across the site, the venue aims to create a smoother transaction experience for both customers and vendors.

The agreement also highlights the growing role of fintech firms in supporting the hospitality and events industries through embedded payment technologies, digital ordering systems and integrated commerce solutions.

With the new partnership, SumUp continues to expand its footprint in high-traffic entertainment venues while positioning its enterprise division as a payment provider for large-scale cultural and hospitality operations.
