Sopra Banking rolls out digital platform for Kensington Mortgages
By Megha Bhattacharya
Sopra Banking Software today announced the launch of a new digital platform for UK-based Kensington Mortgages. The upgraded software aims to improve the latter’s core platform and help deliver Sopra’s new digital solutions for onboarding journeys.
Mark Arnold, CEO at Kensington Mortgages commented, “We are delighted with the launch of the new platform. We chose Sopra Banking Software because they shared our vision of how the industry needs to evolve and have proved themselves to be an excellent partner for us over many years. The industry is still largely paper-based and clunky – so we are both committed to digitising and simplifying processes to allow brokers and underwriters to focus on value-added tasks. SBS’s platform, with its modular architecture, gives our team the ability to rapidly configure to support innovative product launches, improved broker experiences and simplified underwriter processes”.
According to Sopra Banking Software, the platform is live across Kensington’s entire broker network. The project involved upgrading the core platform to leverage the FinTech’s platform, delivering the new digital broker portal and delivering integration out to key partners to simplify the end to end mortgage journey through Sopra’s marketplace platform.
Recently, Sopra Banking Software teamed up with European FinTech Tink. The partnership will allow Sopra Banking to integrate with the latter’s tech for offering new value and turn-key digital banking solutions. At the same time, Tink will utilise the company’s data aggregation, enrichment, payment initiation, and personal finance management (PFM) technology.
Richard Broadbent, Managing Director at SBS UK mentioned, “It has been a pleasure working with Kensington Mortgages on this exciting project. Kensington are really pushing the change agenda in mortgages, and it has been great to work with them as a co-creation partner. The fantastic results achieved are testimony to the way the two teams have worked so well together at all levels.”
