Skilling makes senior appointment with new Global Head of Brand

Foreign exchange and CFD online trading venue Skilling has hired Antonia Zeniou Droussiotou as its Global Head of Brand following a global expansion this year.

The senior leadership appointment comes as Skilling continues it’s fast-growth in the trading and FinTech space.

At the company, Droussiotou will focus on brand engagement and improving the platform’s customer-centric experience, and she will report to Chief Commercial Officer, Pavel Spirin.

Droussiotou has a proven track record driving market leadership and creating brand loyalty. Most recently, Antonia served as Head of Brand and Communications at German fintech, NAGA. Prior to that, she was Chief Marketing Officer at ArgusFX after having served as part of the marketing team that established the FXTM brand.

Skilling offers online trading on a wide range of world markets such as Norwegian or international stocks like Equinor or Tesla, stock indices such as Nasdaq or OBX, gold, oil, or cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.

Earlier this year, the group announced plans to open a London office in October 2020, and shortly after the office was established, it expanded its global headcount to 51 members of staff.

Droussiotou commented: “Skilling has made incredible headway this last year, establishing itself as a top-ranking retail FX platform. Having secured partnerships with global chess superstar Magnus Carlsen and Premier League football club Aston Villa, Skilling has a great story to tell. I’m looking forward to working alongside the team to drive forward demand and create lasting customer relationships.”

Also commenting on the appointment, Pavel Spirin, CCO of Skilling, said Droussiotou brings with her a solid foundation of how to drive customer engagement and market innovation.

“Her experience across both online and offline marketing channels combined with the technical aspects of the assets our platform provides makes her a perfect fit in a series of significant to help us reach numerous growth milestones for here at The Skilling Group.”

Skilling was established in 2016 by Optimizer Invest, an investment company started by the Norwegian and Swedish tech entrepreneurs André Lavold, Henrik Persson Ekdahl and Mikael Riese Harstad. It aims to make trading interesting and accessible to everyone, in a transparent and secure way.
