SEON, Online Fraud Fighters, Europe, Africa, Neobanks, Carbon, FairMoneySEON, the fraud fighters, announce its partnership with Playtech, the gaming software developers. The online gambling market is experiencing a rise; however, the sector is becoming an increasingly high target; a 2019 study found that one in 20 online gaming accounts were associated with a fraudster. By joining forces, SEON and Playtech aim to reduce this number significantly.

Playtech will integrate SEON with its IMS platform, enhancing data enrichment via email, phone or IP analysis. The phone API aggregates data sources to confirm identities and flag suspicious users, including social media accounts. This makes it supports and complements KYC checks carried out by Playtech’s customers.

Playtech’s partners will benefit from improved credit risk assessments and unlock a wealth of additional data about potential customers, which will reduce time spent tracing applicants to confirm their identity. For swift yet secure compliance, SEON aggregates information in close to real-time from live open-source databases. This means that connections are anonymous and SSL protected, while players’ logs or sensitive information is stored for data protection compliance.

Mark Jones, SAAS Commercial Partnerships and; Research Manager at Playtech, said: “Our vision at Playtech is to remove barriers for our customers, particularly when it comes to technology while keeping them at the forefront of innovation. That’s why we’re committed to offering industry-leading products and content, but also best-in-class security and peace of mind too. It, therefore, made perfect sense to partner with SEON, who can offer us exactly that. Their commitment to minimising fraud is key at a time when our industry is seeing unparalleled activity from fraudsters.”

Tamas Kadar, CEO and Co-Founder at SEON, said: “We’ve all seen the impact that the pandemic has had on fraud, and the gaming industry has been severely hit. That’s why it’s critical that companies prevent attacks from cybercriminals rather than deal with the fallout when it’s too late and why Playtech has made the move to integrate our Intelligence Tool as part of our ongoing partnership. We look forward to working together long into the future.”
