BPC, SCB, Vietnam, digital banking Saigon Commercial Bank (SCB) has chosen BPC as its solution partner in Vietnam, helping to accelerate digital transformation in Vietnam’s banking sector. Using BPC’s SmartVista Platform for switching and Card Management system, SCB will be able to provide hyper-personalised services for customers and elevate the experience of digital banking across the nation.

In order to expand the market share and provide customers with the advance payment method, SCB would like to diversify their product for retail services, in which card services are focused on the requirements of optimizing business processes, saving time, accuracy, safety, and security.

The bank has selected the SmartVista ATM switching and card management system for its peerless, user experience design and the flexibility to configure products to suit the bank’s specific requirement – without the need for coding or additional investment.

BPC SmartVista will improve SCB’s payment method including the card transaction at ATM, POS, and E-Commerce as well as shorten the time and process to issue cards and at the same time integrate many features on Internet Banking and Mobile Banking channels to allow customers to proactively fulfill their card service needs. This move enhances the digital banking experience with SCB.

In addition to creating highly tailored services, SCB will also deploy next-generation, self-service Virtual Teller Machines to help on-board and issue cards for customers and easy-to-do transactions. The bank will further extend its POS acquiring business in partnership with Visa and Mastercard using SmartVista solution

Commenting on the partnership, Nguyen Ngoc Nha Nam, Deputy CEO of Operation and IT Division of SCB said, “As a leading bank in Vietnam, we invest strongly in new generation technology to spearhead digital adoption among our retail and business clients. With BPC, we are working alongside a partner with a strong understanding of our market and a comprehensive and extendable platform that will help us accelerate our digital transformation to deliver a superior customer experience.”

Terry Steven Paleologos, Managing Director, BPC Asia Pacific said, “We are excited to support SCB on their journey. SCB was seeking a low code, API-first platform flexible enough to keep control over their strategy, which they found in BPC’s SmartVista. We look forward to working hard to meet their ambitions for creating world-class digital banking experiences for their customers.”
