Saxo Bank welcomes Marika Fredriksson to Board of Directors

Marika FredrikssonSaxo Bank has elected Swedish Marika Fredriksson as a new member of its Board of Directors. The decision was taken at an extraordinary general meeting held on 20 October.

Fredriksson, 56, is the former CFO and Group Executive Vice President of Vestas Wind Systems. She held the position for nine years before handing over the financial reigns to Hans Martin Smith, then CFO of Vestas Northern & Central Europe.

Fredriksson has previously held various leadership positions including CFO of Gambro AB, CFO of Autoliv Inc., CFO, and Senior Vice President of Finance and Strategy at Volvo Construction Equipment International AB.

She is on the Board of Directors at AP Møller – Maersk, Industrivarden AB, Sandvik AB, Ecolean AB and Prodata. Additionally, she is also a member of the Advisory Board at Axel.

Fredriksson was named CFO of the Year in Denmark in 2015 and among the most influential women in the wind energy industry on several occasions.
