Sandstone Technology elevates Abhish Saha to CEO

Sandstone Technology has announced the elevation of Abhish Saha, who over the past 9 months has been occupying the role of Executive General Manager of the Digital Banking & Elevate business unit globally, as the new CEO for Sandstone.

Saha will be replacing Michael Phillipou, who has held this position since December 2020. During his time at Sandstone, Saha has made a significant impact across customer engagement, governance processes and lifting overall business relationships with customers, partners and key stakeholders.

On this announcement, Phillipou said, “I joined Sandstone Technology because I believe in the mission of helping banks to grow their businesses in the most efficient & compliant way, through the provision of market leading technology platforms. As a self-funded private company, competing with some of the largest enterprise financial technology providers in the world, I am exceptionally proud as I reflect on the incredible work the Board, Advisory Committee, Executive Team and our Broader Team, have executed on to support our financial institution customers when they have arguably needed it most.

It now gives me great pleasure to hand over to the Executive General Manager, Digital Banking & Elevate, Abhish Saha who will become the next CEO of Sandstone Technology. Abhish is exceptionally well-suited and best qualified to work with the Board & Advisory Committee to guide this wonderful 26-year-old organisation into its next phase of growth and success.”

Saha brings over 25 years of experience across both the technology and financial services industries, including CBA and FinTech’s servicing tier 1 banks across the Middle East, Asia and Australia. Saha brings vast financial, strategy, product and technology experience to this role having worked within technical and product functions.

Abhish Saha’s appointment will take effect on 8 August 2022, with Michael Phillipou continuing on in his capacity of CEO until this date.
