PPRO taps CTS EVENTIM to enable seamless ticketing payments

This rollout signifies a pivotal moment in the evolution of European digital payments, delivering a seamless, secure and fully European account-to-account payment experience for millions of customers purchasing tickets for concerts, theatre performances and sporting events.

Earlier this year, PPRO joined forces with the European Payments Initiative (EPI) to bring Wero, the continent’s first native digital wallet, to market. In just 15 months, Wero has expanded its user base to more than 45 million across Europe, offering instant, mobile-first payments that settle in under 10 seconds. Positioned as a trusted and intuitive alternative to traditional payment methods, Wero embodies Europe’s collective ambition to provide a unified, bank-based digital payments solution rooted in trust, security and innovation.

Through this collaboration, PPRO’s platform will power the processing of Wero transactions for CTS EVENTIM in Germany, ensuring the same high standards of reliability and efficiency that underpin its broader global payments infrastructure. The integration also sets the foundation for Wero’s phased expansion across additional European markets in the months ahead, as PPRO continues to support new payment flows and merchant integrations.
