PNC Bank has partnered with Extend to deliver next-generation payment capabilities for commercial clients. The collaboration forms part of PNC’s digital transformation journey, enabling businesses to issue, manage, and monitor payments with greater intelligence, agility, and security.

Through this partnership, PNC’s commercial clients can now link their existing PNC Bank commercial cards to Extend’s mobile and web platform, gaining access to a complete suite of digital tools designed to modernise spend management. Within minutes, businesses can generate and distribute virtual cards, oversee departmental budgets, and track spending in real time transforming the way organisations manage working capital.

The integration empowers businesses to issue virtual cards instantly to employees, vendors, and departments, all of which can be added to mobile wallets for secure, tap-to-pay transactions. This frictionless functionality brings a new level of convenience and transparency to corporate payments, aligning with the growing demand for smarter, technology-driven financial operations.

“Business owners are looking for smarter and more secure ways to manage payments,” said Andrew Jamison, CEO of Extend. “By collaborating with PNC Bank, we’re giving clients the flexibility to issue and track virtual cards directly through their existing accounts. Whether it’s managing subscriptions, empowering employees, or making secure vendor payments, this partnership makes everyday business spend easier to control.”

“At PNC, we are constantly seeking opportunities to help our clients run their businesses more efficiently,” added Tom Lang, executive vice president and head of Treasury Management Product and Operations at PNC. “Through our collaboration with Extend, we’re delivering an intuitive, easy-to-use solution that helps businesses simplify spend, strengthen security, and optimise payments.”

With Extend’s virtual card capabilities now integrated into PNC’s commercial banking ecosystem, clients can benefit from enhanced control and operational efficiency. The platform supports a range of use cases  from issuing unique virtual cards for vendor payments to empowering employees, contractors, and consultants with temporary spending cards. Businesses can also automate expense tracking, streamline billing accuracy, and manage recurring costs such as advertising and subscriptions through dedicated digital cards, all within a secure and transparent environment.
