Pismo Pismo, one of the world’s fastest-growing banking software-as-a-Service (SaaS) firms, has just hired Varun Dudeja to drive its growth strategy in the APAC region.

With his core expertise in business expansion and digital payments, Varun has joined Pismo to strengthen its market position and geographical expansion. He brings with him more than 13 years of experience in Asia’s payments and banking industry. Prior to joining Pismo, he held the position of Regional Head of Business Development at MatchMove Pay.

“Markets across the Asia-Pacific have seen high growth rates in the digital payments space in the last couple of years. People and businesses are willing to try and adopt digital payments. Even the financial regulators have been forward-thinking and open to experimenting with new technologies. These factors have created the perfect opportunity for Pismo’s all-in-one, cloud-native platform to help banks, financial institutions, and fintechs meet customers’ growing demand and expectations by being agile, innovative, scalable, and resilient. Pismo’s modular technology solution can support the entire payments value chain, from issuers to acquirers, and I am excited to be part of this journey,” said Varun Dudeja.

Pismo launched its regional operations in Asia in April this year with the opening of an office in Singapore and the announcement of a strategic partnership with OneConnect, a technology-as-a-service (TaaS) provider and an associate of Ping An Group. The office in Singapore follows the opening of Pismo’s US and Europe offices in 2021 and is part of the company’s globalisation strategy. In time, the office will also become the hub for all of Pismo’s product support in South-East Asia.

“The APAC region is synonymous with innovation and forward-thinking financial institutions, and thus we are very pleased to have Varun Dudeja leading our business development in the region. Varun will be championing our sustainable growth model, putting flexibility and reliability at the forefront of our services in BaaS and cloud for core processing for banks and fintechs alike,” said Vishal Dalal, CEO (North America, EMEA and APAC) at Pismo.
