Paysend hires former Amex exec Rupert Bedell as Head of Marketing

PaysendOne of the UK’s highly experienced Financial Services marketers, Rupert Bedell has joined Paysend as the Chief Marketing Officer, completing the firm’s Exco line-up.

Bedell previously led B2B marketing at American Express for EMEA, where he oversaw digital acquisition growth in the last four years, whilst overhauling the credit card provider’s digital channels. B

edell began his career at Barclays before moving on to lead B2B Marketing at RBS, where he led the recovery of NatWest as a business brand.

Abdul Kerimov, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Paysend, said, “Rupert brings huge experience of marketing to Paysend. We are now a genuinely global business enabling consumers in 175 countries to benefit from market-leading money transfer services and I look forward to Rupert now contributing to our further success. The challenge is now to get the brand on the international map as quickly as possible.”

Paysend is the next-generation payment platform enabling customers and businesses around the world to pay, hold and send money online anywhere, anyhow, and in any currency. Created in April 2017, Paysend claims to be the first payment disruptor to introduce global card-to-card transfer. The firm is currently supporting connections between 12 billion cards globally across Mastercard, Visa, China UnionPay, and local card schemes in multiple countries across the globe.
