Paysend Enterprise expands into China with wallet payouts
By Vriti Gothi

Paysend Enterprise has expanded its cross-border payments infrastructure into China, enabling enterprise clients to access direct wallet payout capabilities alongside existing international transfer services.
The development focuses on facilitating payouts into two of China’s dominant digital payment platforms Alipay and WeChat Pay reflecting the central role digital wallets play in the country’s financial ecosystem.
China remains one of the largest and most complex payments markets globally, characterised by high digital adoption but distinct regulatory and operational requirements. For international FinTechs, remittance providers and marketplaces, accessing the corridor has traditionally involved navigating fragmented infrastructure and reliance on correspondent banking networks.
Paysend Enterprise said its unified integration allows businesses to route payments through multiple channels including wallet payouts, pay-to-account rails, card networks and SWIFT depending on transaction value, speed and success rates. The addition of wallet payouts is intended to improve transaction efficiency and recipient experience in a market where wallets dominate everyday financial activity.
The company also offers an Instant Settlement Account model, enabling partners to initiate payments via a dashboard interface without requiring full API integration, a feature aimed at reducing operational barriers for market entry.
“China is a strategically important corridor for cross-border commerce, but it requires local expertise and infrastructure depth,” said Ben Chisell, CEO of Paysend. “By combining direct wallet access with broader global payout capabilities, Paysend Enterprise gives partners the flexibility to choose the right rail for each transaction all within one scalable platform.”
The move comes amid rising demand for cross-border payout solutions driven by global hiring, remote work and international commerce. Industry participants are increasingly seeking infrastructure that can support local payment preferences while maintaining compliance and reliability across jurisdictions.
By strengthening its China corridor offering, Paysend Enterprise is positioning itself as an infrastructure provider for payment service providers, orchestration platforms and marketplaces aiming to expand into the region, while addressing longstanding challenges related to settlement, reconciliation and regulatory alignment in cross-border transactions.
