Paysafe has launched its PaysafeWallet digital wallet in Poland, giving consumers access to a personal payment account, virtual debit card and banking services through its mobile app.

The launch has expanded Paysafe’s existing presence in the Polish market, where its PaysafeCard prepaid payment service has already gained adoption. The company has positioned PaysafeWallet as a broader digital payment solution combining card and cash-based payment options.

Bob Legters, Chief Product Officer at Paysafe, has said: “PaysafeWallet gives them something that feels made for them: their own debit card on their phone, the freedom to pay, send and spend however they want, and the reassurance that cash is still an option when they need it.”

Customers have been able to top up their wallets with cash, send money to other users, make in-store and online payments, send and receive bank transfers and withdraw cash. Each customer has also received a personal payment account with an International Bank Account Number (IBAN) and a virtual debit card.

The wallet has been designed to support payments in Polish złoty, with the debit card available through users’ mobile devices.

Existing PaysafeCard customers in Poland have been able to access PaysafeWallet through the Wallet tab within the app. New customers have been able to download the PaysafeCard application on Android or iOS and register for the service.

The launch has extended Paysafe’s digital wallet offering in Europe as payment providers have increasingly combined mobile payments, digital accounts and physical cash access within a single service.

Paysafe has continued to focus on giving consumers flexibility across digital and traditional payment methods, with PaysafeWallet now providing Polish customers with an integrated option for everyday payments, transfers and cash withdrawals.
