Paysafe has expanded its payments partnership with cloud gaming provider Boosteroid, enabling subscribers in Brazil to pay for monthly and annual plans using Pix bank transfers and Boleto Bancário. The move is aimed at strengthening Boosteroid’s localisation strategy in Latin America’s largest gaming market.

Boosteroid, which offers access to more than 1,700 cloud-hosted PC games through web and app interfaces, already uses Paysafe’s PaysafeCard eCash solution across Europe. The latest integration leverages Paysafe’s SafetyPay platform to support Pix Brazil’s instant payment system, adopted by more than 76% of the population, and Boleto, which continues to be widely used among cash-reliant consumers.

The addition of Pix allows players to complete subscription payments almost instantly by scanning a QR code or entering a Pix key in their banking app, providing near-real-time access to Boosteroid’s game library. For users preferring cash-based transactions, the Boleto option generates a voucher that can be paid at bank branches, lottery outlets or select retailers. Recent Brazilian Central Bank data indicates that nearly 69% of Brazilians still use cash, underscoring the importance of offering offline payment pathways.

Rob Gatto, Chief Revenue Officer at Paysafe, said,  “The integration reflects the company’s longstanding focus on gaming payments. By tailoring Boosteroid’s checkout to include the local payment solutions Brazilian gamers expect to see when transacting online, we hope to help the gaming provider grow its player-base and broader revenue in Latin America’s largest economy,” he said.

Artem Skoryi, VP of Business Development at Boosteroid, said,  “The company aims to remove friction from the user experience. Integrating popular local payment methods creates an intuitive and user-friendly experience, ensuring that gamers can easily access our platform and enjoy their favourite titles,” he said.

The development highlights a broader trend in the gaming sector, where payment localisation has become central to user acquisition and market expansion strategies—particularly in regions where instant payment systems and cash-based instruments remain dominant.
