PayPal rolls out Complete Payments for businesses in Singapore
By Gloria Methri
PayPal has launched its full-stack payments solution, PayPal Complete Payments, for businesses in Singapore, aiming to empower companies of all sizes to expand globally with a simplified and secure payments infrastructure. The offering is designed to help both small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and large corporations streamline operations, enhance customer experiences, and drive revenue growth by accepting payments from customers across more than 200 markets, all through a single customisable integration.
The rollout of this solution is timely, especially as Singapore-based businesses navigate a complex global trade environment marked by rising tariffs, supply chain disruptions, and the growing imperative to diversify trade corridors.
“PayPal Complete Payments will give businesses here access to an extensive suite of new tools which will help them sell more effectively to global customers, in just one integration,” said Nadia Syed, Senior Vice President, International Cross Border Trade and General Manager for Asia Pacific at PayPal. “It will also help businesses optimise their cash flow by enabling rapid settlement for transactions in minutes instead of days while also allowing them to hold multi-currency balances, reducing foreign exchange exposure.”
At its core, PayPal Complete Payments is built for flexibility, offering a wide range of payment methods to cater to global consumers’ diverse preferences. Merchants can accept globally recognised options like PayPal, Apple Pay®, Google Pay™, American Express, Visa, and Mastercard. Additionally, the solution supports locally relevant alternative payment methods such as Alipay, iDEAL, and BLIK, which are increasingly important in driving conversion, as global consumers increasingly demand tailored experiences. In fact, 70% of shoppers consider the availability of their preferred payment method essential when deciding where to buy.
The system also helps businesses present product prices in local currencies, making the shopping experience more seamless and intuitive for consumers around the world. This capability, combined with faster settlement times and multi-currency wallet options, helps reduce friction in the purchasing process and boosts operational efficiency for merchants.
Beyond payment acceptance, PayPal Complete Payments comes with infrastructure that facilitates customer loyalty and operational ease. Businesses can allow eligible customers to securely save multiple payment methods—including PayPal accounts and cards—within the PayPal vault, enabling frictionless repeat purchases. The platform also features real-time account updates, which refresh card details automatically when they expire or are lost or stolen, further minimising failed transactions.
