PAYMYNT Financial acquires cryptocurrency paytech firm LettucePay

PAYMYNT Financial, a Boston based next-generation FinTech growth app provider, has announced acquiring LettucePay, an award-winning, payment technology firm specializing in cryptocurrency payments.

Through the acquisition, PAYMYNT Financial will now integrate cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin, as a form of payment at top retail locations.

Launched in 2019, LettucePay is a cryptocurrency app that enables merchants to settle cryptocurrency amounts as USD payments, for minimal transaction fees. It was started out as a simple idea that brick-and-mortar retail transactions should happen without middlemen or fees.

“Our shopping rewards platform utilizes Stellar Network’s blockchain technology. Approaching the winners of the Stellar Network Community Fund was an easy decision. Together, our team is ready to bring the benefits of blockchain to larger audiences,” Michael Rosa said, CEO of PAYMYNT Financial.

According to Rosa, PAYMYNT team will integrate LettucePay’s software with its next-generation shopping rewards platform, PAYMYNT Rewards. Besides acquiring the LettucePay app, the firm has also welcomed two, former LettucePay team members, Ari Mizrahi, as a full-stack engineer, and Brian Goldberg, as a Blockchain Advisor.

Founded in 2018, PAYMYNT Financial Group is a digital commerce and financial technology company created to Make. Rewards. Better. The FinTech integrates online shopping, digital banking, cryptocurrencies, and peer-to-peer payments into an all-in-one platform.
