OptasiaOptasia, a FinTech services provider, has announced the introduction of XtraCash, a digital micro lending solution set to be offered in Uganda through a collaboration between MTN Mobile Money (U) Limited (“MTN MOMO”) and PostBank Uganda (“Post Bank”).

Leveraging its proprietary AI-led platform’s capabilities, Optasia will facilitate the delivery of this innovative financial solution to approximately 7.75 million mobile wallet holders in Uganda, aiming to provide swift and accessible financial services.

“We are happy that Optasia’s sophisticated AI-led platform is being utilized for this substantial offering in Uganda,” stated Mark Muller, Group CEO of Optasia. “Enabling such great partners as MTN and Post Bank to offer financial access to underbanked people in the country is a fundamental reason why we are spearheading this line of business.”

XtraCash, empowered by Optasia, represents a significant stride towards financial inclusion in Uganda, pairing MTN MOMO, a prominent mobile money operator, with Post Bank as the financial partner. This strategic partnership marks the second collaboration between Optasia and MTN Group in Uganda, following the successful offering of Airtime Advance solutions by the MTN Network Operator in the country.

Optasia’s AI-led platform continues to be the preferred choice for mobile network/money operators and financial partners due to its versatility and intuitive offerings, which contribute significantly to enhancing financial inclusion in underdeveloped regions globally.

Optasia is currently active in over 35 countries, majority in developing regions where financial inclusion is vital for economic growth. Through the solutions and versatility that the company’s proprietary AI-led platform provides, previously underbanked populations can now access financing opportunities.
