nordic api gatewayNordic API Gateway has teamed up with BEC, a FinTech provider for Nordic banks, in a bid to enable 27 banks in Denmark with open banking services for their banking customers. The collaboration is expected to provide 20-30% of Danish banking customers the ability to see and pay with accounts from other banks as well as getting a full overview of their finances across several banks.

“We are working hard to open BEC’s banking platform and are well underway with new partnerships with globally leading technology partners in a number of areas. Through a strong partnership with Nordic API Gateway, we are now also able to develop innovative services that interact directly with accounts in other banks,” said Jesper Nielsen, CEO of BEC.

“We are honored to work with BEC on creating new opportunities for open banking for more than two million personal and business banking customers across 27 BEC banks. With more than 50 years of experience, BEC is one of the most well-known providers of financial technologies in the Nordics,” said Rune Mai, CEO & Founder of Nordic API Gateway.

Recently, Nordic API Gateway teamed up with Santander Consumer Bank with an aim to deliver open banking capabilities for the Bank’s new consumer-focused money app – Prosper. The application is expected to offer its Nordic users a complete financial overview across banks by leveraging account aggregation and payment initiation services.

“Being able to do partnerships like this clearly shows that our focus on implementing compliance at the core of our DNA and delivering high security standards with a privacy by design approach make us able to empower the largest players in the financial sector. With the collaboration, we now empower more than 80% of the Danish banks with open banking services, matching our ambitions of being the preferred open banking advisors for financial institutions across Europe during 2021,” said Rune Mai.
